University tickets
University tickets on Societi are sold by the societies running the event, not by a reseller. A student buys in a few taps, the ticket lands in their wallet straight away, and it scans at the door even with no signal. There is no booking fee added on at the last step and no printing — the QR code on the phone is the ticket.

A university campus app, not a ticketing site
Most ticketing sites know about one event at a time. A university campus app has to know about the whole campus: which societies are running what, which of them you have joined, what your friends are going to, and what is on tonight. The Societi app is built around the campus rather than around the checkout, which is why joining a society, holding a membership and holding a ticket are all the same account.
Not the Kawasaki disease charity
Two unrelated organisations use this name. Societi, the UK Foundation for Kawasaki Disease (mysocieti.org.uk) is a British medical charity — if you are looking for information about Kawasaki disease in children, that is the one you want, and it is not connected to this. Societi here is an Australian university campus app, built by students, operated by Fiesto Pty Ltd.
Nor is this XOCIETY (spelled with an X) — a blockchain game with a crypto wallet app. Societi has nothing to do with cryptocurrency, tokens, airdrops or gaming. It is a university campus events and ticketing app.

Societi is free for students and free for societies to run their community. Paid ticketed events carry a platform fee of 2.5% + $0.50 per order plus card processing, shown to the buyer before they pay.

Societi is rolling out across Australian universities, starting at The University of Queensland. Other campuses can register interest at societi.app.
Do I need the app?
No. Societi runs in your browser at societi.app and installs to your home screen if you want it there. There is nothing to download.
